" NOWSHEHRA: The blast that ripped through a people-packed market in Risalpur on Thursday evening has mounted to 10 while 9 others who sustained injuries are being treated in local hospitals, Geo News reported.
The blast took place in the market at Risalpur Chowk where people had come out in big numbers to complete their Eid shopping, said DPO Nowshehra Muhammad Hussain.
Eight people died on the spot while two more expired later while receiving medical aid.
Sources said a large number of women and children were present in the market when the deadly blast occurred.
Police officials said the explosion was cause by a remote controlled explosives devise that was tied to a bicycle kept for sale in a shop.
Many shops including two hotels were damaged in the attack."
